Bursting with sun ripened peach with butterscotch undertones. A gorgeous silky wine with a creamy finish and just a hint of French oak

6) Arneis - Crittenden - Victoria - Australia     £28.20

This is an  obscure but delightful Italian grape, grown on the slopes of Australia's King Valley. Very fruity, forward and infused with thick pear and quince flavours. Dry, but not too crisp, this makes for a great alternative to Chardonnay or Pinot Gris

28) Rioja Reserva - Marques de Riscal - Spain    £42.35

This high qualtiy bodegas produces a superb Reserva blended from 90% Tempranillo and 10% Mazuelo from vines aged between 30 and 50 years. Aged for 2 years in American oak casks this wine posses a combination of toasted oak and dry fruit

29) Carmenere Reserva - De Gras - Chile   £28.90

This is a truely superb example of Chiles 'lost grape' variety. Jammy fruits on the nose lead to a full bodied wine with hints of choclate and black pepper with a very elegant finish. Wonderful!!

30) Fleurie - Domaine uy Sablon - Beaujolais - France    £31.05

A lovely example of a Fleurie showing purple colour, flavours of boiled sweets and raspberry character, soft tannins and balanced acids

31) Saint Emillion - France   £23.35

Saint Emillion favours just two grapes - Merlot for its rich, mocha nd cherry scented fruit and Cabernet Franc for its blackcurrant  and herbal quality. Tjis is a stunning wine - ripe, rich and soft with flavours of green tea, mocha and good coffee

Rich and complex with deeply concentrated flavours of ripe plums, liquorice and black pepper. Full bodied, meaty and stunning

Something Different

33)Bachus - Chapel Down - Kent - England    £31.85

This area of southern England has  a similar temperature to Champagne, and as such they can grow crisp whites quite easily. This is delightfully zesty and tangy, with a nice floral lemon and Braeburn apple character

34) Pinot Gris - Nautilus Estate - Marlborough - New Zealand    £34.15

Pears, ginger and spice on the nose. A full bodied palate of citrus fruits and apricots lead to a long lingering finish

35) Xerolithia - Crete Olympus - Greece     £31.15

Forget your ideas of horrific etsina - this is a wonderfully different yet modern Greek wine. Dry, crisp and mineral scented with tropical citrus and lime characters and a zesty quenching finish. fresh as a daisy and moderetly light - almost like a Sauvignon and Muscadet blend

Anew wine to us - and its easy to see why we had to include it. Big, rih and jammy, showing the warmth of the upper Duoro region, supported by oodles of sweeet oak and spice

For those of you who think they've tried them all!! This is wonderfully deep and fruity. Layered with smokey bramble, raspberry and redcurrant flavours. Wonderfully smooth.

44) Krug Grande Cuvee     £173.00

Krug has an icinic place ib Champagne and is often credited with being the best house. This Grande Cuvee is a bland of 12 different vintages, the youngest being six years old, the eldest twelve. Left on the lees for five years, it has an amazing intensity balanced with great elegance.
